Turn around and run away as fast as you can!

Where did you say that car was?

The only thing I can warn you about on this car is the glow plug system.
the original glow plugs are connected in series with steel resister wires and insulators and a wire loom connected to the block. look over the glow plugs, if they are still this way, you need to measure voltage at all plug tips to see if you are getting voltage all the way down on all 5 of them. if the first plug fails, all others get no voltage, and you get no combustion heat... even with perfect loop plugs, it is hard to start this setup when cold.
if you have insulated wires connecting all five together, then someone has upgraded the plugs to modern parallel pencil type. they are pricey and hard/impossible to find locally, you will have to order them online most likely.
worst case around 120.00 for a kit set online.
Yes, the automatic MB's can be tow started, but you need like 20 MPH, so a simple downhill push will not do it.

Its been a while that I didnt think about these Glow P are wired in series, if one dies =either all or nothing work. Good point.

If u can tow start can be an option since it won't burn out your starter so soon.
