YAY! 250,000Km badge arrived today!
 got my badge today! it's alot larger than I expected it to be  a rather good ending to a somewhat crappy day!

my 240D has the 250,000km, 500,000km, 750,000km and the 1,000,000mile badges. they should have sent me the km one but messed up and i got the 1kk mile badge. once i hit 1kk miles, i will ask them to send me the 1kk km one.

You may want to put a clearcoat over the new badge before you install it. I sure wish I had. Mine has been on my car for less than two years and is looking pretty old. The white paint is turning tan and the blue paint is fading. I'll eventually have to repaint it by hand. Yeah, I know it was free, but it sure was a hassle to get the paperwork signed. The MB dealer in New Orleans is one of those that wants nothing to do with the owners of older cars. I had to annoy the service manager (who told me, "We don't work on cars that old!", as if I would actually let them work on it) into singing the form just to get rid of me. It took over two hours worth of excuses and buck-passing, and would have taken longer had I not blocked the service entrance with my car. The squeaky wheel gets the greasin', and the leaky Benz in the way gets a mileage badge!

Broken Odometer
My 87 300D has about 187,000 on the odometer. We think it actually has 232,000 miles on it. It has been flagged as a true mileage unknown car. If I get the odometer fixed does it matter about the flag? I would be happy just getting the badge based on the shown mileage instead of the actual mileage.
187,000 miles is 300,950 klicks. 232,000 miles is 373,370 klicks. -Jim
