Talking '85 300TD Rolls Over (Odometer)

1985 300TD, Federal Version

The odometer hit a milestone 300,000 miles !

See the attached photos.

Bought the car with 116,000 miles for $9,900 13 years ago. Worth every penny It's been old faithful for years and years - never left us stranded, never been towed since we owned it. Driven non-stop numerous times from Jersey to Florida loaded to the gills with luggage.
Drivetrain is totally original, no oil added between changes, timing chain replaced at 218k mi as a precaution.

That is way cool. I'm only 83K behind you. Give me 10-15 more years and I'll be right there with you.....

I'm only 52,740 behind! I replaced my timing chain at 213k due to some minor stretch and I was paranoid. I am also rooting for 300k, I need to drive more....I am currently at about 15-18k a year....so about 2.5-3 years till I hit the big 300k! My dad will likely hit it in less than 1.5 years at his current rate of nearly 400 miles per WEEK of driving.

You don't really want a new CDI do you? Then what will you do with your spare time that is left over from not having to work on an old Benz?

By the way, my 300TD has 357,000, and it is running great.

I thought rolling over meant all digits went back to 0?

wouldn't that be 1,000,000 miles? THat is what I want to get to in my SD!
