A 1986 300SDL that needs engine swap.
I went to look at a 1986 300SDL that needs an engine.
The engine is seized. The auto repair shop owner that is selling the car says the IP will be good and the trans very recent (no indication of mileage on trans). It is very clean under the hood. I looked around on craigslist and ebay for and engine did not see one. But I figure one will come along. Car shows 315000 on the odometer. Guy selling it says he really knows the car and that the owner let it run out of oil. How it ever got that low he didn't say. He says it is a good car that just needs an engine. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=180026320046&ih=008&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT Is the engine swap any harder than doing a W123 engine swap ? Trunk paint is coming off (peeling) like it may have been repainted. Trunk is clean and spare looks good. Interior leather is not torn and looks much better than my 300SD with 223K miles.
