That should be correct, if you have any question give Phil a call and make sure it's the correct part.

You've just purchased a 20 year old car and as a general rule I'd replace all the rubber brake lines and the master cylinder if the previous owner hadnt done it New MCs and brake fluid really transform the brakes on these cars. I didn't realize these cars had such good brakes 'till I replaced the MC. I had flushed and bled the brakes and such, and it did help. So I figured hey, its a 20 year old car with 20 year old technology, of course my dad's new Honda has much better brakes. Turns out they're pretty comparable...locked up the tires after I took it for a test drive cause i was so used to pushing the damn brake pedal so damn hard.

Make sure you get the same brand as you have now. I have a 71 220D and when I redid all the brake system when I first got it, I put a Bendix master cylinder on it from Advanced Auto. The cylinder looked identical to the old ATE brand but when the brakes were applied the front brakes would not release!! Took awhile to figgure out the root of the problem, I did many searches here and found some posts that were almost like mine but the salutions almost worked. I then ordered from Phil on this web site and got a new ATE master cylinder, problem solved!

Good idea. the car is in MAGNIFICENT shape (there is not one crack in the dash, wood or seats. The original paint will still shine)but it certainly doesn't hurt to do extra preventitive maintenance.

I'm about to call him shortly...........his price on that MC is slightly higher than a few others I found online, but if you guys recommend him.....SOMETIMES service outweighs savings.
