W126 headlight wipers
Can anyone tell me how the headlamp wipers are controlled? I was looking at a 350 sdl today and couldn't get the wipers to move and didn't see a control for them inside.

If I remember correctly, the headlights need to be on, and the wipers will function when the windshield washers are used...........the washers for the headlights function at the same time.

I'm having the same issue here. I have operated the windshield wipers and washers with the headlights on, and no joy.
Fuses look good. Any advice?? TIA

My owner's manual agrees with Brian. Says when lights are on and you wash windshield, lights will get a good scrubbing too. As for fuses, etc. no clue. I have no idea if my own actually work.

But, the wipers won't operate continuously. The'll only run for a few seconds during the "washer" cycle. |

after much musing, i finally asked my mechanic low and behold he had the secret. When you activate the window wiper/ washer by pushing in the control arm they work. Now, removing the old blades and replacing them with new ones is a bit tricky but I did that all by myself... 1990 420 SEL
