just a few items I noticed...

Why is the A/C not hooked up? what rocker arms are under the valve covers? how many miles are on this engine? what was done to the engine before the swap? I don't like the way the valve covers look. that does not look like a chevy motor, but hard to tell in the photo. water pump looks strange, and all.
I bet the unibody in that wagon is stronger than my 67 camaro, and I also bet it drives A LOT better than my camaro.
I would NEVER do this to any of my MB's, but I might buy one someone else converted. it has an interesting spirit to it.

you'd think if he really wanted to sell this,

that better details on the engine would be available. the accessory kit on that motor probably set him back 1000.00, I hope there is an electric fan, because there is not a fan on the WP...
it looks like a nice install. I will follow it and see what it sells for.

Its a travesty that he butchered a euro wagon, but if you really wanted to make a solid, quality street rod, the 123 ain't too bad of platform to use. I'm not saying THAT one is cool though, he should have left the body and interior the same. Some people cringe at the idea, but I think a well built 123 with small block 8 in it would be fun.

Talk about misguided energy! That was a lot of work to put into a car he didn't want to keep.

I want an AWD diesel wagon. If anyone has time to burn, build one and sell it on eBay, cheap. Maybe I should email this guy.

OMG!!! I emailed the "SELLER" and read what he replied

"John,
I emailed you back immediately after recieveing your first email. I am emailing you directly through ebay this time, so I dont know what else to do. The car has 1101 miles on the new engine, I dont know how old the engine is nor what heads are on it, I purchased it the way that it is now, and never did anyting to it. I dont know why the AC isnt working, whether it isnt hokked up or not, I never messed with it. I dont know what was done to the motor prior to transplant. The transmission is chevrolet and the rear end is stock. I dont know what, if any driveshaft mods were made. All i really know is that the car is super fast, and that when we bought it, it ran great, but we dont drive it anymore, and the last time i started it, it overheated after 20 minutes or so just idling. I never worked on it or did anything else to it. If you have any other questions that I might be able to answer, please feel free to call me at" I left off the number... but Gee isn't the overheating something that should be mentioned in the ebay listing? it sounds like an blown head gasket to me. also the picture clearly shows the compressor has no fan belt, so what an odd respponse to my query about the a/c function.
Um, I don't think I am interested in the car...

If you can get it cheap enough, drop in a SBC you know to be in good order. This of it as an almost assembled kit car.

Man, I would love that wagon just for the green interior!!!!
I wonder what was done with the SLS for the rear suspension? The wagon is sitting up nicely, but I wonder how the ride is.
Leaving out the fact of the car overheating in the auction listing is THE reason to stay away from this. Then the fuzzy explanation of the AC?
Uh, no.......
