Is there a question here?
or a suggestion? How do you filter WVO with TP? Doesn't seem like this has any chance of working at all.

I have heard about car filters that use TP as a filter canister but I never had the guts to try it.
As far as WVO filtering there has to be and is a better way. Danny

use the filter socks from mcmaster-carr or the omni home water filter method with the string wound filter.

It's been around for a long time
Commonly known as the Franz Filter, but it has been sold under other names also. I know it goes back to the 50's and possibly farther than that. But that is what they used, a common roll of toilet tissue.
And word was that they did a right good job also. Then the Harvard Corp, of the Harvard, IL area, took the idea and really went commercial with it. See their filter line up here. http://www.harvardfiltration.com/class1.htm They have a full line of automotive and industrial filters. I used their filters for many years on a pair of 8V71 Detroits that I had. They had a paper roll that just exactly fit the 1000 cc luberfiner bypass filter. But all their filters use rolls of paper, much like toilet tissue, but tested and prooven in their filtering capabilities. They will pull out every molecule of water until you can not pass any more oil through them and they consistantly filter down to 1 micron. That is good filtration - but it is slow!

indivdually.... the kind of stuff you would not want to use... not the charmin... you want the stuff with 1200 sheets.. |

12 pak of Scotts tissue is $7.95 or so; clumpy messy and not washable.
1 good McMaster Carr 5 micron sock filter is $ 6.95 and washable, probably lasts around 200 gallons then you wash it in RUG for 10 minutes and it goes for another 200 gallons of WVO. etc etc..... If you voted for Bush, you'll probably take the Scotts Tissue. couldn't resist.
