How many miles a year

Do you put on your diesel Benz? What year vehicle? Use it for work? Pleasure? Vacation?

I roll it out for pleasure only. Maybe a little weekend run here or there. About 6,000 miles per year.

My bride mentioned last night, during dinner, vacation planning, 11- year old interested in a trip out West, Mt. Rushmore and the like. In the blink of an eye I am back with the atlas, hummm... One route up and out, different route down and back. Yes exactly... the perfect plan, I can see it now 2,000 miles at least, in a week...

I went to sleep dreaming of changing the oil, 2 new tires, refinishing the wheels, waxing, fuel economy, blissful cruising and obviously having fun with The Bride and Little ones... Dern I bet they want to take the van...

Mine is a daily driver

1977 300D. I put about 20-25,000 miles per year on it.

Other than the fact that the rear bumper fell off last week, runs like a swiss watch.

More than a handfull of times I have driven it non-stop, except for fuel and.... well you know bio break, from NJ to KY, 750 mile. The old girl charges along at 70-75 miles per hour and loves ever minute of it. I would not hesitate to drive it to California tomorrow, or maybe after I replace the rear bumper.

I do aroung 15K a year. It is my daily driver but I use my motorcycle for recreation and sometimes ride to work @ 12 miles each way.

The longest drive I do regularly is about 200 miles to visit family in Tampa. I have the boost cranked up to12 psi and it hums along at 70 - 80 mph.
In fact I'll be doing that drive in about an hour from now.

130 mile/day commute gives me about 30-33k per year. As reliable as the sun.

Last year I only put 8700 miles on my 300TD, and now it will be even less beacuse I ride my bike to work every day instead of a 100 mile daily round trip commute. Jeeze, I may have to start taking more long trips just to keep the car in good running order.

about 1500 to 2000 miles a year on the 240D now, pleasure only and sometimes use it as my pick 'em up truck. Used to average about 18,000 miles a year when I was gainfully employed or at least while I was getting a paycheck.

about 10,000 miles a year on the E300TD. It's my wife's around town car and our long trip car of choice.
