Nothing severe but, last night, it was pretty cold for Central Texas: 20°F

Both the 617s fired off with absolutely no more cranking than you would expect on a 60°F morning. However, the pre-glow light stayed on about 3X longer than usual. Marlene, the wonder wagon, needed a bit of help for 20-30 seconds in order to keep idling but, she's always like that when it gets cold.

OTOH, the neighbor's Power Stroke sounded like my old 4-53 Jimmy when she lit it off. It must have revved up and down for a minute before it decided what speed to idle at.

Hey that looks like our ice!!!

When I got zipping around at 80+ around here with my antenna up and its damp and VERY cold out...my antenna gets a nice coat of ice and doesn't like to go down well. My car is one of the few in town that you won't often see nightly frost on it...I drive a LOT and late into the night

Around here, it comes and goes pretty quickly. Yesterday's high was 30°F; Sunday's is forecast to be 61°F.

Class at the community college was cancelled today because of the snow.

You will notice that is CLEAN icy slush behind Marlene's wheel. I was the only person on the road that night and, the ONLY customer in our new Cabela's Megaoutdooroutfitterssuperduperstore. And, to think that there were only 17 shopping days till x-mas.

Where'd they build the Cabela's Randy?

Hopefully I get to come to Austin again in '06, I'll probably try to squeeze in a visit to the Cabela's. Everyone of them I have been in is like a nature museum, I love 'em.

Weather got cold here in Va, ice storms hit last night. Interesting find this morning...Box turtle with four feet frozen to ground, body found inches away with legs attached. Cause of death un-sure. Inquiries being made. Cat was initial suspect, dog always looks guilty so nothing there, perhaps fowl-play...CSI Elkton
