Made it to Charlotte, NC
Left New Smyrna Beach Florida yesterday at 4pm and arrived Charlotte, NC at 11:30 pm. 93 300D 2.5 L-5 ran like a runaway train...no problems and she ran like a champ..just washed her. Hope all the dieselers are fine. Outside temperature was cool on the trip up and the engine temp hovered around 79 degrees.

around for a while?
Iceman,
Let me know if you are around for a few days. I'm about 25 miles north - near Mooresville ( exit 36 on I-77). Maybe we can catch a cup of coffee or a beer. Chuck |

Found a great way to stop the diesel nailing noise too
I went to the Rolling Stones Concert and couldnt hear a damn thing for 2 days afterwards...couldnt even hear the diesel running...but the concert was sponsored by Mercedes and the big screen was filled with huge pictures of the newest Mercedes...all the while my 93 300D was parked out front of the new stadium with 166,000 miles...LOL
