Oil in the vac pump
Is a little oil in the vac pump normal? Or does it mean that it is time for a new seals? Mine was oily inside. There wasn't a ton, nothing leaked on the floor when I took it off, just a little oily inside.
Thanks

I suggest that oil in the part of the vacuum pump which is open to the cranckcase is normal, oil in the part of the vacuum pump which handles air (vacuum) is not OK.
This generally indicates that a diaphragm has torn. It would be best to replace the diaphragm while you have the VP off.
