I paid $2.50 for a very similar pair of pants. I have yet to wear that suit out, but you can be sure that as soon as I do, there will be pics.

Thanks
David

Hey David-Nothing wrong with shopping at the Thrifts(S/A). Here in Miami I shop at RED,WHITE &Blue which is run by the VVOA(vietnam vets of America) and while they have Checkered Britches like those Beauts you are wearing-they have many current items also. I have bought some great sport coats(italian wool for $7) also the Levis-like $4/pr. Recently picked up a like new pair of Leather Tevis Sandals-$11. I could go on and on-they are great. One thing for SURE-you are going to get a LOT of Looks on your date!

pawosd, looking good. Are you in the jazz band at school or something? What's the story behind the suit?

Thanks
David

I was in my High School band and Jazz Band for all four years, but I graduated a year ago and didn't get a chance to play this year due to class scheduling issues etc.......I will in the fall however, sophomore year of college, I am excited. I was Alto sax in Jazz Band and Clarinet in Concert band, I'd do either in either though. The story behind the suit is that I used to go swing dancing with some friends and so I got that suit when I spotted it on ebay....they're all off doing other stuff and school now so I haven't gotten to go dancing in quite a while....perhaps sometime in the future though.

I double dare you to change oil in the SD wearing that white suit!
Actually that white suit looks sharp. Now can you play some Benny Goodman tunes on that licorice stick for us? I always liked the Big Band sound even when I was a kid in the days when it wasn't cool.

Now that you mention it, I was really happy last week when I changed the SD's oil because the only place I got it was a little bit on my hand and a dribble on the concrete.

As for the Goodman tunes....I'm a tad rusty..... I'm a lot better at that kind of music on sax than clarinet, since most jazz/swing I played was on sax. The Big Band sound is very fun....I highly enjoy it.

I used to play 1st trumpet 1st chair in both concert band and jazz band in high school. I still play whenever I get the chance. There's one thing us band members can still do at class reunions and that is play our horns. This year I will go to my 30 year high school reunion and I can play my horn. All the football players in my class can do is talk about the "good old days". Any 7th or 8th grade football team would kick their butts. Your music is for the rest of your life.

The fist picture is a few years old but you know...

(The white is a lab coat...I wear my fedora daily...fuctional attire!)

The second...Carribean
Neither times the SD was possible with the picture...one was before I owned it...the other I was a few thousand miles away from my lovely automobile

I would rather buy made in the USA used clothes from a Salvation Army than brand new made in Bangladesh from Walmart. The only time I like to go to Walmart is when I have intestinal gas.

nice threads.....

can't wait to show them to my son who plays tenor sax.

my son went to sr. prom in white tails bought at a re-sale shop in kenosha 4 years ago for a hundred bucks. his mom made a 4 course meal and he and his date dined in our dining room. then mom put on black pants and a white blouse and black fishermans cap and chauffered them to prom. later she picked them up and took them to the post prom event down by the lake. try as she might the mighty 240 woulod not do a burn out like the porevious car did after dropping the kids off at the door. she did fill the area with biodiesel nut smell though.
