I just started seeing this same situation on my 603 in the last few weeks, although, its not yet to the point where it annoys me.

If replacing the sensor won't fix the problem, I remember seeing the sensor wire on my 560 grounded out to keep the light off, so I guess thats the most simple fix...

John, please advise if a new sensor does the trick. Also, how low do you typically have the level?

I wouldn't want to lose the capability of the light. It could be a life saver if an oil cooler line lets go. I sure would like to get it to stay out with the oil level at the 1/4 point.

My oil light flickers on and off with left turns. PO replaced the sender-no change. Have read in old posts that the only fix is a new instrument cluster-to replace the defective 20 second delay gizmo. Seemed pretty radical, would like to know what part of the instrument cluster is defective and replace it.

I had the same problem with the oil light, bought a “T” fitting for the oil switch and the tubing for the mechanical gauge with a 1 inch diameter dial and it’s hiding at the side of the steering column and also keep the idiot light, the reading is still at 3 bars on the mechanical gauge.
Hope this helps.
