Can't get screw out of top of air cleaner!
I just tried to remove the top of the air cleaner to get to the inside to do some work. I was just loosening the screw up, revolution after revolution after revolution. It would not budge. I kept on trying, it turned, but did not move up. What's wrong?

This isn't one of those blond jokes, is it?
Does the stud spin with the nut? If it does then the stud came lose. Take off the entire air cleaner assy and see if you can hold the base of the stud with pliers. Otherwise the nut is stripped. Use a nut splitter to remove the nut and see if you can salvage the threads with a thread chaser.

It's stripped. I'll just let the indy deal with it, it's going to the shop tommorow anyway.
