I barely even notice the smell of diesel fuel anymore, but gas...!!

(I plan on replacing the Talon with a Dodge Ram, Cummins Turbo Diesel in the next few months )

My $200 MB 240d is a bit rusty. All 4 doors and under the door even the trunk has some rust on.
I found a 240D 1980. Without the engine it is going to cost me $ 600. It has no rust on. Interior is black without any spot. Everything looks great.
Question is: this one has automatic transmission. My original one with a good engine has manual. I closed the deal with the owner. Should I keep the automatic transmission or should have it install the manual one?

get the engine and manual tranny from the rusted car.. transfer it to the other one... sell the auto tranny if you like
