1980 300D..Should I part it out or sell it as is?
The transmission flex plate let go and the torque converter is probably gone. The car has new tires( 80,000 mile rated),vaccum pump, new glow plugs, engine runs fine and has always been serviced(starts when it is really cold),new ac,new stainless exhaust system, every thing works except for intermittant cruise control, body has new fenders and paint, interior excellant(no cracks on dash),just a spot of surface rust, fairly new motor and tranny mounts, plus other fixes that were done to car. Silver exterior with black interior. Sharp looking classic.Second owner, bought in 88 with 40,000 miles and now has 260,000(motor has 200,000). Don't know what to do with it now. Hate to see it die in a bone yard. Any suggestions? What is it worth either way?

Hmmm
Why not put a flex plate and used transmission in it?
Where are you? How much do you want for the whole car? |

Let us know...
Let us know what you decide...If you part it, I would be interested in doors and front fenders. I'm in Concord, MA and know Douglas quite well (grew up in Worcester). My car is an 85...i think its the same body as your 1980,
Mark
