Just wondering as to where I might be able to purchase one of these cranes. Everywhere that I look the shipping is like 100 bucks...

If you have a retail store near you, Harbor Freight is gonna be your best bet. If you DO have a retail store near you, go to the website and decide some items you might want, and if they are on sale on the website, print out the item's page! Most of the retail stores don't have the same sales as the website, but if you bring in a printout, they'll honor the website's price. Many times I've saved money that way, no sign of a sale in the store, and the employees don't know what I'm talking about, but when I show them the printout, they happily honor the price. For high dollar items, that adds up fast.

Peace,
Sam

I started buying a lot tools from HF and I get their catalogs a couple of times a week. Funny thing is their prices are different in every one, sometimes even from page to page

Yeah, they are a crazy store. Just do your homework, check your catalog, any literature in the store, the item display and the website. Whichever has the lowest price, point to it when you buy. They are totally disfunctional, but they are very good about honoring prices from their literature and website, as long as you point it out.

peace,
sam

I've never ordered by phone - they're too dysfunctional their as well. When you try to enter the better price from one catalog and the better price from another item in another catalog they will only give you the better price from one catalog. I've foregone order just from the frustration.

I recently bought a 10" diamond blade stone tile cutter for $200 - anything comparable is well over $500. It's the best the Chinese prison labor can make.

But the retail store is definitely not cheap. Of, the engine cranes are at a very good price (as are most things there), but you never come out with only the thing you went to buy. It's hard to go to HF and not buy much more than you intended. Do yourself a favor, take only as much cash as you truly want to spend and leave the cards and checks at home.
