Diesel more expensive than Premium gasoline

What is going on? This is too much. I saw today Diesel for $2.06 and Premium gaoline at $2.01. I know this is the heating fuel season but this is too much. I gave away my 400E for a diesel and now premium is cheaper.

to tell you the truth, I think they are making a mistake. Do not worry it will be lower than gasonline again since they cannot afford another trucker RIOT!

This is temporary.....

I get it for at least 5 cents cheaper than gas, but it should be at least 10- 20 cents difference

$2.05 here in West PA.

I would have loved to take that 400E off your hands. I wanted to trade the 300SD for one but the wife will have none of it.

Road fuel always increases in price in the fall because refinery output of #2 distillate is diverted to the production of winter heating oil stocks.

Diesel $2.02 in Miami

The lowest price I could find in North Miami-Dade County was $2.02. It was only slightly lower than premium gasoline.

On NPR it was announced that the increased demand for Diesel was due to more demand in Europe and China.

It is still too early for the main cause to be the need to produce home heating oil for storage for the coming winter.

They are probably using a lot more Diesel for Army and Naval operations in Iraq as well.

Whatever the cause, it is annoying.

Diesel has been running about ten cents more then regular unleaded, but less than mid grade, here for most of the summer – it’s close to $1.90 per gallon.

The Mobil truck stop on the North Freeway and W. Rittenhouse that I filled up at was $1.88 gal on Saturday, (9/25). The Texaco truck stop near Highway 288 and Almeda-Genoa was about $1.83 I think.

It's gone to $1.95 a gallon in NC here. Regular unleaded is about $1.75.
I am not a happy camper, and keep thinking how nice it was to put so little fuel in my VW.. Ugh..

Talking $1.96 still beats my gasser.

I look at how many sawbucks I have to put in per week for my commute. My 240D still is cheaper to run than my Suzuki Sidekick by a third. Fortunately I have no hills to climb.

$2.18 (2.179) in Claremont, NH. That is, as last time I posted, above premium unleaded. Across the "River" in Springfield, VT is is slightly less though still above premium unleaded.

Now with two MB diesels and a Kubota it is more of a pinch . . .
