SoCal Mercedesshop, Meguiars Detailing Day In August - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

I was just on the phone with Meguiars and they are checking into holding a detailing presentation at their facilities in Irvine CA!

Here are the details:

I'll be meeting with them next week to discuss having a group of 15 to 20 Mercedesshop members visit their facilites on a Saturday morning. They can't work Sundays so it will have to be a Saturday. I will arrange a list of members for them so they can insure their is enough staff to answer everyones questions.
This event will be held exclusively for Mercedesshop and the size limit is 20 cars.

When I meet with them next week they will be doing tests on my paint to determine if the scratches on my car can be removed. If testing is positive they will show everyone a step by step procedure on how to perfect your paint (Using my car of course

) If my car proves unsuccessful we will be searching for another car but it will require inspection prior to the date (yours could be the lucky car!).

After mine or other car is finished they will take each members car and bring it into the detail bay and discuss with each member what their goals are. They will then do test spots on your car to determine which products to use to meet your goals. You may purchase the products on the spot or wait for a later time but they recommend taking notes so that you can get successful results when you do it at home.

Right now I'm thinking of planning this event for the end of August, probably the 24th. Does anyone have a better day and remember it has to be a Saturday. I believe this will start around 8:30AM and finish around 2 - 3pm.

Input would be great. By the way, the session will be shown on their website for everyone to see at a later date.

I'm putting together the list starting as of today so let me know if your interested.

If the date is Aug. 24 I will definitly be interested. My '82 380 SL could use all the help it can get until I have funds to paint.

I need some advises for the E420 in the meantime that I save some money to re-spray it. By the way, I've got the center bumper filler to delete the license plate $106.00 from Performance Products.

Mark, are we going together to the Peterson Museum event on August 24th

If so, do you second my request to make the Meguiar's clinic on another date like August 31st.

Please let me know Mark, because I would like to assist to both events.

I'll be checking on the August 31st date. So far everything is clear for that weekend as well so it should be ok. I still need to meet with Meguiars so we have a few days to decide which date is best. If others have suggestions please throw them out before next Wednesday so that I can discuss them.

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to update the date of the clinic to August 31st. I think this will make a few of you happy.

So that leaves room for 9 - 14 more people. Anyone else seriously interested in learning and possibly perfecting their paint please step forward within the next two weeks so that I can prepare a final list to present to Meguiars. By the way August 31st has been finalized and the Detail bay has been reserved so no more changes.

Is There ANYWAY To Change the Date from the 24th to another Date..I Have Made Plans on the 24Th... Going to The Peterson in L.A...If Anyone Else is Interested in Going to the Peterson on the 24th of August.. please let Me Know! We Have A GROUP Of BENZ GUYs With a Group tour ! And a Drive With LUNCH ALSO!
