Just wanted to know which is a better product all around among these three. If there are others out there better than these.
Also, what do you guys use to clean a leather steering wheel? |

I'm really sold on Griot's products. I just applied their solid carnauba wax and it went on and came off like a charm. Really filled in a lot of swirl marks, too.
RE: steering wheels -- although I like Griot's "leather care" for seats, I don't recommend it for the steering wheel. It has some cleaning product in it which took the finish off my already deteriorating leather steering wheel cover. I redyed it with a dye from ColorPlus and looks good again. ------------------ '93 400E |

Leatherique is the best product to use, all natural.

I've used several Griot's products over the last 6 months. They are expensive but high quality-you get what you pay for. They're at least as good as Meguiars, but less available(mail order).

Thanks for the info. I just bought some meguiar products before I discovered Griot's. So, I ordered some items I don't have, so I'll tell you how they both work.
Do you use those sheepskin mitts to wash and clean your cars? I have never used them before but I have read a lot about them. |

Okay, here we go again. This is my personal endorsment for Griots for what it's worth. I personally feel Griot's has the best product line available for autos; both quality and selection wise. I have spent thousands with them, and never been dissapointed. If something is not what you expected, return it, no questions asked. I went to a Pebble Beach Concours d' Elegance a few years back. Awesome show. Most winners were using Griot's products. Their "Best of Show" Wax is absolutly the BEST. Period. Meguiar's who? Not even a comparison. Everything they sell is absolutly the best. Just my $.02 again. I hope all these endorsments are earning me some money... j/k

I haven't tried Griot's. (I like products I can easily return if promises don't measure up to advertising - hard to do with mail order)
And I use Meguiar's shampoo & polish & wax. But as far as leather conditioners go, I have tested 5 or 6 on the seats of my cars. Meguiar's Gold Class leather came in 5th or 6th. It felt like Elmer's glue to apply; it gooped up the holes in the seat pattern; it didn't smell good & didn't promote a very entrancing smell from my leather. But different stokes... For me, Lexol came in 4th or 5th. |
