Hi everyone!

I just bought myself a new 2000 SLK230 Kompressor (bright yellow) last Tuesday.

The car is so darn hard to keep clean! Does anyone know if the bra that Mercedes sells for the car fits the Sport Package front spoiler? I didn't want to plop down $120 for a bra that is too short....

Also, I get lots of road tar and paint chips right behind the wheels with the AMG body kit. Does anyone know where I can get a set of splash guards??

I have tried to look on the net for them but nobody seems to carry any SLK accessories other than what Mercedes offers. Does Mercedes offer splash guards? I'm so afraid to drive it now, since I got my first paint chip. $40,000 is too much money to invest in a garage decoration.

Any help or hints would be greatly appreciated!

The standard SLK bra does not fit a "Sport" properly. I saw one last year and it looked terrible.
Splash guards, or mud guards are availibe in Europe I'm told, but again only for the standard model.
What might work is if you try to get some heavy weight polyethylene sheet (1/8"-3/16") from a local plastics outlet and make a set of your own. Use clamps not screws to hold them to the inside fender well.
