help with removing a stereo from 116 (1980 300sd)
I want to take the aftermarket CD player out of my car. Can anyone help.
I can remove the faceplate, then there were a few screws. I undid those but could not seem to just pull the deck out. Do I need to pull harder or is there a trick to this? Thanks! |

It is helpful to know what brand/model is your radio. There is usually a key for removing it.

Thanks Scott. I finally got a response from the people who made it (Rockford Fostgate) and that is what they said. There is some kind of key to remove it.
You are a stereo wiz, can you explain why this stereo cuts out over small bumps. I am not talking about CD skips, but the power actually cuts out. The shop who put it in seems useless to fix it. They even swapped out the deck. An installation problem or is it the deck? |
