My power antenna never worked correctly on my '84 300D turbo diesel, so I picked up a universal Hirschmann Auta 2050. Having trouble with the wiring. On my universal antenna, black is ground, red is hot, and green is radio I believe. Can't seem to get the antenna to go up or down unless I put both red and green on the red&red/white wires in the trunk. Anyone know where that green wire goes of the 5 wires for the original antenna?

If you can find the mast lift up wire , then put your own switch in .
