1991 560SEL Constant Buzz From One Speaker
I'm having trouble figuring out what is causing this constant buzz in my front passenger speaker on my 560. The noise is audible as long as the radio is on and definitely only comes out of the front passenger speaker in the dash. It does not change with volume or engine RPM. In fact, if I turn up the volume high enough, it is hard to hear the buzz.
The speakers are original and the head unit is a Becker 1480. It was rebuilt about 5 years ago and has the auxiliary hook up added in. I even swapped in a speaker out of my 420 parts car and it still is making the same noise. What could be the cause of the noise?

sounds like one of the amps has an issue. they are located behind the rear seat at the shoulder area. one for each side. try switching them to diagnose if it is bad. Becker AutoSound LLC - Auto Audio Repairs | Saddle Brook, NJ can help you with a repair if needed

Thanks for the reply. I'll swap out the amp on that side of the car with one of the ones in my 420 to see if that cures the problem since the 420's stereo sounded good before I decided to part it out.

Fixed!
Swapped out the amp on the passenger side from the one in my 420SEL and it sounds great now! I'm pretty excited to have the stock 10 speaker sound system working. Sounds good, especially for a 1991.
