I've got my eye on a 300D and if I buy I'll definitely want to upgrade the sound system: A new stereo with CD player (in-dash or maybe a changer), and new speakers, at a minimum. I've never done any of this kind of work myself (except swapping out speakers on an '87 Honda Accord) so I have a couple of questions:
1) Assuming I use the same locations as the factory speakers and don't add any new ones, how difficult is speaker installation (especially under the dash)?
2) How difficult is it to pop out the old stereo and install a new one?
3) Is there any thing particular about the 300D (e.g. things that could go wrong) that I should know whether I do the installation myself or have someone else do it?
4) Is it possible to add door speakers on the 300D without major complications?
5) Any recommendations for the head unit?

(I don't even own it yet but I'm feeling a little protective already!)

i have a 1985 500sel and i have speakers in the doors if you put them in the back looks better but the front sounds better in my back window i have speakres and subs it reffeleces sound of the glass and gives great sound for the back and froint
