Phone Installation - 2002 E320
Is there a way to use you personal cell phone with a blue-tooth type arrangement in a 2002 E320? Or does the dealer install/activate a wireless phone system, with a whole new phone number assigned to it, etc.? There's a phone button (with a slit in it) on the dashboard sound system controls.

You need
a box of electronics (PSE) in your trunk a cradle in your console a bluetooth adapter to fit into cradle a compatible phone Must have original radio, not an aftermarket replacement. information here http://phdwebsite.powerpulse.cc/Phone%20Install%20Bulletins/E%20Sedan%2002-01.pdf http://www.wireless4mb.com

How difficult to install?
My 2001 E320 was just wrecked and is considered totaled. Not a lot of damage, but the insurance company says it is too much to fix. That car has a factory installed phone. If I buy a similar vintage W210, would it be difficult to remove the phone / phone components from the wrecked car and install them in the replacement?

The 01 had a phone that is obsolete (timeport) some of the components can be used but a retrofit kit needs to be installed (expensive)!
