Can anyone help me get radio code?

I forgot about the radio when I disconnected the battery the other day and realized the next day when the radio was prompting me for the code. I do not remember where I put my owners manual, but that is the only place I have it written down. Is there anyone that has access to the mercedes computer that could look up the radio code for me? I would appreciate it immensely. I am leaving for a 1K road trip tomorrow(texas to iowa), and dont think I can make it without any tunes!!!!!

Here is the VIN#

WDBGA32E6RA175638

My email address is carlos-castillo@uiowa.edu
Phone # is 512-576-4179

Dealerships unhelpful

I called the austin mercedes dealership, and they want me to come in person and show proof of ownership before they will release info. This wouldnt be so bad if the dealership was not 45 miles away, but I just dont have the time to make it there by 5pm. The other Mercedes Dealership in Georgetown which is about 60 miles away gave me a code that did not work!!!! They gave me 52435, i tried it on Monday(3 times), and the radio locked me out! It just now changed back from "wait" to "code" and i am worried that if I enter the code wrong again, i will definitely have to wait a long time whether or not I get the right code because I think it locks you out longer the second time doesnt it?

Anyone's help appreciated. I know the reason they put the security code on these stereo's, but this car is a 94 S320....just a regular ol cassette deck, aint worth much by today's standards. Thanks in advance for any help.

The last known radio code for that VIN is 51133. Good Luck.

Think the dealer is expensive? Do you know how much it costs to train a dealer tech? Or buy the required MB special tools to have on hand?

Talking Thank You Thank You Thank You!

Dr Diesel!

Thanks....thats the code...I think I might find a place in the car to stash a card with the code in case this happens again. No telling where my owners manual is, I ran out, typed in the code, and my radio came to life!

Thanks very much for the lightening fast reply. Now I can cruise to Iowa City in style!

FYI, if it happens again call a different dealership. I've called all the dealerships in my area (MN and WI) and they are all more than happy to give out the radio code over the phone (from the VIN).

The other option is to call 888.367.6372, the MB help desk. they will transfer ownership on their data base and if asked, will give you the radio code for your vin.

Write it on a mailing lable and stick it inside the door of the glove compartment. It's not as if security is an issue with one of these things anymore. Like you said, the unit isn't worth anything in today's market. In fact, if you listed it on Ebay, I bet you'd have a hard time getting any takers at all. They're great stereos, but there's just absolutely no market for them.

Just my 2 cents... arguably worth that.

If you have had your car serviced at the dealership, your invoice would have the code as well. Usually printed on the header information under RSC for "Radio Security Code".

Your tech needs this info too. It's standard protocol to disconnect the battery prior to servicing your vehicle...
