A few years ago I recall receiving a printed flyer at a San Francisco fair for a DIY auto garage, with covered bays, air hookups, and tool rentals. Now, I can't find what I've done with the information and have been unable to locate the service.

I'm curious if anyone here has run across such a service.

Yeah.. I think they were a myth. I rent a space in West Oakland that is communal. I don't get any walls separating my space from the other people, but at sub $1/sf rates it cannot be beat.
