W210 bumper grille refinishing - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

The 2001 W210 has this black plastic mesh grille inside the bumber.
I'd like to get it chromed. There are chrome sprays out there. Should I just pop the grilles and spray them? Will the spray stay on plastic, or is there more to painting plastic. Has anyone done this before? Thanks.

I have no experience with "chrome" paint, but I have painted many grille assemblys the color of the car,,,, looks good IMHO.
