Possible IDN Spoofing detected.
Why does the ShopForum use spoofed URLs? I have a browser that is vulnerable to spoofed URLs, so I have a security tester installed that produced this warning:
"Possible IDN Spoofing Detected "The URL on your location field is shown as: http://ad.doubleclick.net/adi/N3227.mercedesshop/B1034481;sz=468x60;a=AH1;ord=[timestamp]? "Though the real (spoofing) URL (may look like the same) is: http://ad.doubleclick.net/adi/N3227.mercedesshop/B1034481;sz=468x60;a=AH1;ord=5timestamp 12?" I thought DoubleClick was one of those ad ware outfits. |
No spoofed URL's here
We do not use spoofed URL's and we do not use Doubleclick.
You may have spyware on your computer. All of our URL's should start with either: http://www.peachparts.com or http://catalog.peachparts.com |
Thank you, Bill. If I sounded accusitory, I didn't mean to.
I've discovered the spoof source - it is the Tire Rack ads at the top of some ShopForum pages. Holding the cursor over the ads yields the doubleclick URL. I didn't think it was my computer because I have a Mac, and I haven't seen any spyware for it yet. Regards, |

You are correct about Tirerack. They use Doubleclick to track their clickthrus from MercedesShop. |
