I'm a little disappointed in Arnold. I expected much more of him. Something along the lines of say John Edwards whose troubles are now with the DOJ and a pissed wife?

Arnie has to live with his decisions. I cant imagine what it must be like for a public person, haveing their dirty laundry aired in public.
Not to mention the feeding frenzy of what is referred to as 'Media"

for the bulk of things yes, but if you want to target a specific muscle within a group, sometimes standing on your head to do a free weight is not feasable. We all do anyways. However, part of the thing when you are a public figure is that you are a public figure. If this happened to you or I, nobody would give a damn and it probably won't appear as more than a court notice, if it gets to that. OTOH, when you are a public figure, you have to know that each and every thing you do or don't do becomes fair game to sell papers, so to speak. Few people outside the forum know you are a muslim. OTOH, that Obama has a muslim sounding name, well, it becomes fair game because he was running for President.

To take it even further, do I give a damn about your brother? Your sister, if she is hot, yes. Do you recall that they even mentioned some of the acts of Bill Clinton's brother? At one point, they even dregged up the fact that Obama's BIL who was an MD refused to take Medicare. Well, am I voting for Obama or his BIL? When you take such a position, EVERYTHING you do or don't do or even if it can be construed as your action or inaction is aired. If you cannot stand such scrutiny, STFU and don't do the job.

Keeping the woman in the house for years after and who knows, during the affair, and bringing her and sons on family vacations was just amazingly tacky. He's burned a lot of bridges.

Well, you have to see it from a different standpoint. He has to spend some time with the kid and not raise suspicion so what better way than this? Besides it looks good that a Governor is actually consorting with the low end of the spectrum. Gives him more credibility. Of course you know the real reason now but back then, it would make him look like a nicer person and people want to elect nice people or people who seem nice.

You can't say he didn't deserve it. Not much skin off his teeth now. After all, he has his money and is set. He is pretty old now so not much more he has to do if he doesn't want to.
