108 4.5 Liter Engine & Transmission For Trade

Have good condition 4.5 V8 from 72 280SE for trade for 4.2 V8 for an 88 420SEL. Engine was rebuilt have reciepts, looking for a 4.2 in good order, no oil burners please.

Hatterasguy has an '88 420SEL parts car. He's in CT though. You should try and PM him, he hangs around diesel discussion alot. My best friend may want to buy your engine. He has a '72 280SEL with 300k miles and it's smoking even after seals. Most likely rings by now.

Thanks. I think the engine in Hatterasguy's SEL may be disassembled. Have your buddy email me, I will sell the engine. I also have a LOT of 108 parts, essentially parting out a 72 280SE 4.5
