1992 500sl Car dies after 50 mins, while in park for 2-5mins

Test Scenario:
1. Start engine, leave in park for about 50-60 mins.
2. After 50-60 mins with emergency break on, apply break, shift to drive and wait.

“OBSERVATION: After above steps, the engine seems to “struggle” to run. RPM is just over 500RPM, oil pressure fluctuates below 1 bar,
And vibrates the car.”

3. Within about 5 mins the engine will die/stall.
4. Engine will restart properly.
5. Reperform step immediately and the engine will die/stall again, and often 3-4 times.

@EPR Test: Saturday July 23
1:10 pm: Start engine and let idle in park.
2:00 pm: with emergency break on, apply break, shift to drive and wait.

Test 1: Time to die/stall: 1 Min 35 Sec

Immediately restart engine, with emergency break on, apply break, shift to drive and wait.
Test 2: Time to die/stall: 2 Min 43 Sec

Immediately restart engine, with emergency break on, apply break, shift to drive and wait.
Test 3: Time to die/stall: 0 Min 50 Sec

Immediately restart engine, with emergency break on, apply break, shift to drive and wait.
Test 4: Time to die/stall: 4 Min 0 Sec

Do you really expect the "substance" of your scenario to be addressed?

It is that darn anti global warming chip set that shuts it down when idling uselessly

Next time it will be half, and so on
