Talking Sun roof in an sl hard top

Question,

Has anyone here ever installed an electric sunroof in their SL hardtop for winter air?

How interesting that you bring this topic up. I have designs on paper, somewhere, to modify a hardtop to become a targa affair; kinda a'la '84 vette, if you will. After conceptual drawings were constructed, I scrapped the whole project. I thought it looked kinda dorky, but a sunroof? Now thats a different story. Given the slightly concave. pagoda-like section of the hardtop's roof, I am skeptical...

I've thought about this too

The best part is that if you can find a cheap hardtop for sale, you can practice on it and see if you like it. Then you wouldn't have to put your original top at risk.

I have a extra hard top for a 450/380/560 SL $200.00 come get it. I do not need two Hard tops.
