1980 300D, cheap project car, only 80k miles

Paint color is middle red, or "burgundy". Original interior was palomino, but some of the parts (namely door handles, ashtrays, A-, B-, and C-pillar panel covers) were replaced with burgundy ones for a two-tone effect, which match the paint color. I have a bunch of spare palomino parts, and can include them if you want them. Driver seat skin is gone but I have the original seat frame with pads in excellent shape. Interior is good shape overall with no tears or other damage, but the seat skins look faded like palomino tends to do when exposed to sun. Driver floormat is lost but I had a spare green one so I stuck that in there for now. Driver side rear floormat is also lost. The other two are intact and in good shape. The paint is in overall great condition, except for the hood which for some reason looks like it has had light sandpaper taken to it unlike the rest of the car. There is a small and easily-repaired dent in the roof above one of the C-pillars, but otherwise no body damage. No obvious rust.

The car drove very good when I bought it, but shortly thereafter the main pulley came loose from the crankshaft as the big bolt came loose. No major damage done as I stopped as soon as I heard something weird (the bolt did not fall completely out), and I have the original parts which shouldn't be hard to reinstall - I just haven't done it yet as I have loathed the idea of pulling the radiator out to do it, and ended up with other priorities since then so this has been parked in the back of my garage for the last 3 years. I did need to order two new pins that are used for this. As it sits, the car will start right up and move around, but there's no power steering, alternator, air conditioning, etc. since no belts are able to be connected, and can't be driven far since there's no engine fan in place - it will need trailered unless I get it put back together first. The NA engine has only 80k miles on it, and everything was working on the car with possible exception of the A/C when I parked it a few years ago. Power sunroof and windows all work. Original Becker Mexico pinstripe radio and working power antenna, so the original wiring is intact, however I do want to keep the radio unless I get a good offer for the car.

I don't want to bother with the hassle of putting it back together and getting it sorted for driving again, so I'm offering it up as it is for $1000, or a little more if you want the original radio. I can get pictures soon but at this price and mileage on the car, it's hard to go wrong. I need this to be trailered away within the month if possible.

Going to use some parts from this chassis including the radiator support frame for a 300TD I bought, so the car is no longer available for sale. However, the NA low mileage engine will be available for sale on it's own, and other part inquiries welcome.

If an admin could move this thread to the parts for sale section it would be appreciated!

How is the driver side fender? I'm looking for one in Medium Red which I think is the same color as yours.

It is pretty good, middle red paint is great. There is a small dent a couple inches behind the corner light but easily fixed. No corrosion... I will get pictures, may even pull it off today as I'm going to remove the other fender for my wagon...
