Coolant Change Mercedes

Due to a hose disconnecting from radiator on my 2008 E320 Bluetec,
I need to empty and refill the radiator with a new coolant.
Other than he OEM coolant, does someone have any recommended brand?
What is the best ratio of water/coolant for Mercedes?
Thanks

Have you checked here: https://operatingfluids.mercedes-benz.com/

I also have a Bluetec and have never looked up coolant specs, but it should all be there. Start at sheet 320.1.

Looking further, it appears a spec change was made starting in 2014 and some cars may have been converted to a new spec. See this note: "Service measures for certain vehicles that required a conversion from 325.0, 326.0 to 325.6, 326.6 must be observed".

A separate note indicates these cars may have previously been converted to 325.3/326.3, which means a conversion to 325.6/326.6 is necessary. As to how we tell what is currently in these old cars (X.0, X.3, or X.6), I have no idea. It would be nice if we could mix X.6 with anything but not sure that is allowed.

It is a very interesting article.
I also found about this coolant:
Valvoline Zerex G48 Concentrate Antifreeze/Coolant be suitable for most Mercedes and BMW cars.
Thanks for your post.

I checked my coolant reservoir and my coolant is blue, so I would use the same stuff if I needed a top off... Valvoline Zerex G48.

I ordered mine online and didn't received yet, so not sure what color it is .
According to my research, many Mercedes and BMW owners are satisfied with this coolant.

zerex G48 is the same material as the original BASF Glysantin formula 48 that mercedes benz fills at the factory.

but if you are in a pinch and need coolant immediately for cheap walmart sells the same blue coolant under their own brand name for 12 dollars a gallon.

My coolant arrived today and, it is blue.
While we are talking about coolant, I don't know how old are my coolant hoses.
I am driving this car since 2019 for around 14.5 K miles per year.
My hoses has not leaks and looks good. I am battling if I should or not change, specially the upper and lower hoses. They are not cheap prices hoses
If so, since I am changing coolant, I would change hoses.

Not sure why you would want to stray from original formulation, since materials compatibility is a growing problem concern.

Zerex G48 from valvoline is the original stuff you buy at the dealer. If you really are insistent on buying the pretty white bottle but not at the dealer then advanced auto parts can sell it too from their commercial counter. You can also buy the BMW bottle as its the same product.

if your hoses are weeping from the crimped ends, then replace them - and specially replace them if the hoses plastics ends are "brown"
