Sls Fluid for w123
Hello, If I had a choice between Shell Tellus 22 and Aeroshell 41, which is the most compatible for this system up here in the cold. Guy was telling me that if they put this stuff in their aircraft jacks for instance, that it will destroy the seals....He says to make sure it is o.k for my application. Are there any natural rubber elastomers in this system? Thanks

I'm afraid I wouldn't know an unnatural elastomer from a natural rubber elastomer but I'm sure someone around here will
![]() I flew in a twin Otter once down in the Cook Isles and plenty of single engine De havilland beavers on floats in Alaska. They are the real "work horses" up there along with a few DC3s still running fish to market.

I think those old De havilland planes must be the Mercedes of the air, I saw a 1955 build plaque in that twin Otter in the South Pacific and the plane looked new. Regarding float planes, as far as I'm concerned nothing should go faster than 12 or so knots on the water

Thats like "Quicklift' from Cenix which I use in my tractor but I wouldn't think its the right stuff for my SLS which MB recommends a mineral oil based fluid for.
