1976 MB 240d oil change question
What do I need to do to properly seat the oil filter back in. Its one of the ones you screw in from underneath. I don't think it had a oring in it and I don't know if I got it in right or not. Its dripping still.
Also what do I need to do to change the filter? It came with a few washers and filter and oring but I don't know if I'll need them all or if they are for different models and I won't use them all. Thanks in advance. David |

The o ring is a definate need at the top of the cannister. The copper ring goes on the bolt. The angle they go in at is awkward so be careful not to cross thread the bolt.
