Bought a wagon!
Hey all,
Just picked up another addition to the stable today! '85 300TD wagon. Light Ivory with Palomino MB-Tex, 259,000 miles, NO rust anywhere to be found, ALL services stamped from the MB dealer in Louisville, Kentucky, new tires, new A/C compressor, all original, everything working perfectly. It was a trade in at the MB dealer in Lexington, KY and they didn't want it so it came home with me! I just ordered four Michelin Arctic Alpins for it for the winter from Tire Rack. Although my favorite daily driver is my 280SE, I got the wagon at a good deal and this way, can keep the 280 off the road in the winter. I will probably roll a timing chain in the TD this week and I also have to do front brakes. Of course will be changing the oil and all fluids! We also bought a '99 ML320 from a dealer in Akron. It's Silver with Grey leather. Has the heated seats and Bose sound system. It's going in to the dealer here in Cincinnati for some warranty work (new carrier bearing, transfer case and ball joints) before our trip to Atlanta next week.

Aaron, I am so jealous! I love those old wagons!
Congrats on the new ML. I am surprised about the warranty work you are having to get done on it. Is that typical of those things? If you are heading to Atlanta when you come down 75 out of Chattanooga honk the horn as you go by exit 333 that is the big Dalton. I can see the freeway from my exit! Stop and get gas/diesel! What ya comin this way for anyway? later

Congrats Aaron!
You mentioned that you're rolling a new timing chain into it as it has 259k. Am I on thin ice with two MB diesels over 200k (timing chain issues)? Thanks Don
