We have been happy with our chysler lineup... Current cars: my 98.5 CTD 2500 4x4, wife's daily driver 2005 300C, and our 2009 Challenger SRT. (and my benz) haha, but i have to concur, I WOULD NEVER OWN A NEON!!!!! HAHA

A Sebring is a P.O.S. but I don't think a late model Benz would have fared any better since crumple zones are designed to...well...crumple.

Don't forget that they made a Neon wagon from the same tooling, aka: PT Cruiser.
As a supplier and an Engineer, I will say that nobody cares less about the quality than Chrysler corp, price price price, nothing else matters. I will never own ANYTHING Chrysler, I'd take GM above Chryco, and Ford above both if buying a US-badged vehicle.

I had a Honda ram me from behind last winter. I was in my China Blue 240D. Not even a scratch on mine, but the Honda had at least $600 worth of damage. I just shrugged and said "You lose."

Called the insurance company today to set up an appointment for their representative to make an estimate. They said it will take 3-5 business days. In the mean time, I'm not moving the car because doing so would require bending or removing the front bumper and I don't want them questioning that they are responsible for that damage. So, I'm out the car until they get around to calling me. There was dead silence when I said I would be getting additional estimates in the mean time.
Maybe if I call them tomorrow and tell them I want a rental car after all they might get to it sooner. I seriously did not like they way the adjuster asked if the car had over 100k miles. I actually found it offensive. It only has about 158K and for this model that is practically nothing. I've already got a chip on my shoulder for their insured putting me through this, but if they try low-balling me because of the mileage I'll have a fit. They had better not suggest any repair involving Bondo either - only metal repairs will do. I've got no incentive to settle for anything less than everything it will take to put me back to exactly where I was before. As for the car, it will never be an accident free car again. The front end on the Ram is too weak for the Cummins. Steering boxes leak & require steering brace. Even a new box will have play in it. Fuel system is restricted requiring $600 AirDag or FASS and gauges. Steering column requires bushing to take out the slop. Once you dump $2k into the truck it becomes reliable. Rear brakes need adjusting with each oil change. 50,000 mi truck around 500,000 mi engine. Ask me how I know. Chrysler deserves to be out of business.

Just be sure to send them many emails with your signature file attached if they decide they want to mess with you.
