Replaced the ailing factory horns. My high tone was operating at about half power and my low tone not at all. Pushing the horn button to let some jackwagon know they were being a jackwagon resulted in a half-hearted "toot" that was difficult to hear in the cab. I imagine no one outside even noticed, certainly no one has reacted.

I replaced them today with a Stebel Nautilus. Holy hearing loss, Batman! If that doesn't wake up some soccer mom who's trying to kill her kids by paying more attention to her cellphone than her driving, nothing will.

I originally hooked the Nautilus up to just the normal horn wiring. Got about normal horn volume. Rewired it via relay(I used a good one, not the generic one that came with the kit) pulling power directly from the battery. Whole different level of loud; a relay is definitely recommended for anyone doing this mod.

Oh, and back to diesel stuff. Anyone have a preferred source for a turbo rebuild kit?
