OK - success at last!

First off thanks for the help. Let me describe what I did to get this system working in case someone has the same problems down the road.

The Omega tech people were very helpful and prompt. I emailed them and they sent me a couple of PDF's. I will save the one below that I used - note #210. This unit did need two standard 5 pin relays, and a DLS-V module. Both parts I purchased online - relays at Parts Express - $7.00 total, and the DLS-V at Crutchfields for $4.00. Relays plug directly into the DLS-V module...

Pretty straightforward from there as I connected the unit to the trunk actuator. I hooked the DLS-V to the 3-pin connector on the REC-43T , green wire from DLS-V to the vacuum pump supply side of the yellow wire in the 3 wire harness leading from the supply pump to the actuator in the trunk - and the white wire from DLS-V to the actuator side of the same yellow wire. I then connected the 4-pin plug from the REC-43T - black wire to a chassis ground in the area (right below the tailight assembly) and the red wire to the red/white wire in the 3 wire harness running from pump to trunk actuator (blue and green wires are not used). This wire supplies a constant 12v's ...

Tucked all the relay/DLS-V/wires inside the trunk lining and velcroed the REC-43T to the top of the taillight assembly.

That's it...
No flashing lights, etc...just a simple lock/unlock mechanism, but so far works well.

Costs (including shipping):

REC-43T (Ebay) - $28
DLS-V module - $4
Relalys - $7

Total cost = $39. Not too bad.
