I always wear them. Used to have a really nice pair from the seventies; those were heavy. Dropped them between the car seat, not knowing I pushed the chair back; it sounded like a window being smashed, that's how thick the glass was.
Now I wear lighter modern ones. The weird thing about large aviators is that heat builds up behind the glasses on a hot day.
