There was some discussion on removing the just the front part of manifold then removing the studs from head. To replace, screw in studs with all new parts and manifold in place. Do not know if it can be done.
Removing the back part of the exhaust manifold may result in broken studs and the removal of the head to replace them.

Sounds like I may not be replacing it before making my trip then.
