which fuel filter do I want for an '87 420SEL?
 

Fastlane lists 2 filters, one says to sue with tandem pumps, the othe says it's optional? please enlighten me. BTW, I never thought a fuel filter would cost that much! Also, what is the relay that would be bad if my intermittent wipers don't work, nor the headlight wipers. Also, if the windshield is washed, the wipers have to be turned on manually to wipe.

Some MBs have dual pumps(tandem). Many are located at the rear, close to the passnger-side rear tire.

You'll have to look underneath to see if you have one or two pumps.

The filter designed for dual pumps(tandem) is designed to handle more pressure.
