2000 E430 4 Matic operation question
The 4 matic doesn't seem to be working correctly. If the rear wheels are on ice and the front wheels are on dry pavement, the rear wheels spin and the amber triangular light illuminates. Car doesn't move. Dealer says 4 Matic operation is ok? Any ideas? How does this system work?

The system will try to apply brakes on the spinning wheel(s) until the car can move. AT that time the yellow triangle lamp should be on!!

Thanks for the info. Is there a disconnect for the front wheel drive. They don't seem to be assisting.
