Seat Cushing Squeaks
Very annoying squeaks come to life when the car goes over bumps. The come from the bottom Cushing of the driver seat. To make sure they come from the seat I supported myself by the arm post in the door and by the console. Then I lifted and lowered myself a few times. Definitely the squeaks come from the lower portion of the seat.
Have you encountered this issue? The car is a '99 E300TD and has heated seats. I would appreciate any suggestion and/or advise. Thankx, Pat

in my car (with MBTex), the squeaks come from the lower cushion rubbing against the lower part of the lumbar support (of the backrest).
what works for me is to treat the rubbing surfaces with a silicone treatment (i use the one for tires, since it's longer-lasting). After some time it dries out and you have to reapply the treatment. if this is the case with your seat, give it a try ... |
