Ouch!

pep boys wants $170 for 02 sensor 1990 300se.found oem bosch $122.95 online at auto parts wharehouse.anyone know of a cheaper place?

I have heard of people using a generic application from Bosch. If I remember correctly they were around $50. I think the application was from a early 90s Ford 5.0 engine.

I don't feel like doing any soldering under there.I just hope I can get the old one out! it was replaced 15k ago by a shop so hopfully it wont be fused in there.I looked under there today not much room for wrenchs or sockets.its on top of the ex pipe under the pass seat

Just curious, if it's only 15k old, why are you replacing it?

Is the car showing any symptoms of a running problem?

Ususally antisieze paste is pre applied to the threads of new O2 sensors so it shouldn't be too hard to remove.

As far as removing the old one a special socket can be had at most parts stores to remove the sensor. Even Harbor Freight sells one for $5.00 or so. It's a crowfoot looking affair that goes on a 3/8 extension.

1990 Mustang GT sensor....$35. Splice and voila!

I've done it and everything works great, and the link by mbenz earlier (my original thread) has all the info you need. Let me know if you have any Q's.
