Put a very thin screw driver into the slot at the bottom of the knob, and release it. Then remove the bezel for the parking brake wheel adjuster screws and the big nut on the switch, the bezel should come off. The book says to remove the bolster, and panel under instrument panel, to get at it.

changing the head light switch

Thanks for the info. I tried that already, but I am having difficulty removing the bolster or the panel (the carpet piece above the knees)

I am not sure if you can provide assistance on how to remove it.

Thanks
Michael
